Comment: I ended up not purchasing this rechargeable battery and charger kit from Amazon because I had waited for it for about 5 weeks and gave up. Then I discovered that I could buy a similar product at Staples, and cheaper too! I don't think Amazon is the place to go for electronic products.

Summary: Canon CBK4-200 Rechargeable Battery and Charger Kit
Comment: Have only used the charger and batteries for a couple of months but can say that the charger works quickly. It charges 4 batteries in 2 hours or so. The charger is compact and light. The batteries last a long time--for 500 shots or more--in a Cannon 2S IS camera. I haven't made any comparison to similar chargers or batteries.

Comment: If you take lots of photos, rechargeable batteries are the way to go. Carry the other charged batteries with you in case you need to swap them out.
