Summary: Canon's little inexpensive secret
Comment: What can I say other than I LOVE this camera. Especially after the CHDK hack for it. It unlocked all the cool features found normally on cameras 3-4 times this expensive or more! Like RAW capabilities, battery indicator, and extended life on the video mode to name a few.
This has become my little workhorse of a tool for casual to professional endeavors. For those who are looking to take EXCEPTIONAL pictures for pennies on the photo, this is YOUR camera. Hell, it is everyone's camera. Too many features to list (more so with the CHDK hack), very ergonomic and comfortable, runs best and longest on rechargable Ni-MH batteries.
I just ordered the the wide and tele lenses for this camera. The fact that you can do that with a $150 (avg.) camera is incredible! Definitely worth the purchase. I am thinking of getting another as a second or backup.

Comment: I researched the camera and after positive reviews on Amazon, purchased it. I travel often and take pictures for business & personal reasons. I had a Kodak CX7430 and wanted something with more pixels, better video. After a few months of using it I found the quality of photos excellent, I can't comment on the video since I really haven't used it much yet. My real problem with this camera is the LCD screen. I keep my camera in a cushioned sleeve in my briefcase and travel with it regularly and never a problem with any other camera. 60 days with this camera and the screen was cracked on the inside portion. I took it to a local Canon service facility and was told this was a common problem and was not covered by the warranty. I paid $97.72 to repair the camera, not much different than the cost of the camera which was approx. $150.00. When I asked the repair associate what solutions are available so it doesn't happened again and she said to check the internet for a hard case. If this is such a problem with this camera, Canon should recommend and offer a hard case. Secondly, Canon should have a "first offense" repair so that your initial cost is reasonable and you can prepare yourself for future use, such as get a hard case which they should have but don't (I did get one on EBay).
