Summary: Good Camera!
Comment: This was a replacement of an earlier model that went bad after 4 years. I like this camera. I never used the view finder, so the larger LCD screen on the back is a real nice feature. So far so good, no problems. I also like the metal frame of this camera. This model is the only one I found for my needs that had a metal frame. Again, all in all it has been a good camera so far. If things change I will post again.

Summary: awesome camera
Comment: I have used this camera for more than a month and I really like it.
The quality of pictures is great. I used to own a 5mp Sony Cybershot that broke and I decided to try a Canon instead this time. I am really happy with my decision. Images and colors are much brighter and sharper. 3x optical zoom isn~t that great, but with a 10mp picture you can afford to make use of the digital zoom and loose some megapixels. Night shots are awesome and the videos are better quality than my 30gb JVC hard drive camcorder.
The screen is large and nice, but my wife has a hard time keeping her fingers away from it when taking pictures.
The Macro function (close-up pictures) is much better than other models that I have seen.
Overall, this camera is a good purchase. I feel like I've bought the perfect camera for my needs.

Summary: Best camera we have owned.
Comment: We have owned 5 digital cameras over the last few years and this is the best one so far. It is very hard to get a bad picture. It is very simple to use and packed full of fun features. My neice has the canon 1100 model and this one has a nicer feel and bigger screen. (Go for the larger screen) It's not as fast as some other digital camers I've used, but it is great for most users. If I ever need to buy another digital camera, I would buy this one again.

Summary: simple yet elegant
Comment: Canon PowerShot should be everybody's primary camera. It takes care of 99% of picture taking challenges. Limited optical zoom is the main problem and you have to spend 200 to 300 dollars more to really solve that issue. With the 8 GB card we bought with it, we can take virtually unlimited super high quality pictures. My son started using it without using the instructions and only came to whine once before he was satisfied enough to take it out for serious picture taking.

Summary: This camera is handy and works great, easy to use
Comment: As an avid scrapbooker, I'm obsessed with photos of my family and trips and got tired of lugging my gynormous camera around. I purchased this camera and immediately read the directions, knowing that if I didn't I wouldn't be able to master it. Thank goodness I did and quickly took the Powershot on a vacation to Hawaii. It worked like a charm and I got over 410 amazing photos!
The features are easy to use - the red-eye tracker, croping on the camera, etc. I'm amazed at how much I could do without having to work on the computer.
It's light enough to cart around, I keep it in my purse now - so I never miss photo opportunities. I wish I had bought it sooner and it's competitively priced.
