Summary: I expected better
Comment: Purchased a few months ago and installed on my vista machine. It works most of the time but I have had numerous / recreateable app crashes with this software. Additionally, the video complile is extremely slow.
* Takes about 30 minutes to turn a 20 minute video in to a MPEG2. Much longer for a MPEG4.
* App crashes way too often. One example: tried to create a DVD with MPEGs and WMV. The software allows you to put each on the clip section but it crashes everytime a WMV is include (doesn't tell you the WMV is the issue though. Learned this by trial and error).
* Doesn't convert FLV files from You Tube to other formats. You can get free tools to do this so why doesn't a tool you buy do this? :-(
* Software doesn't have a good feature for removing commercials. It would be easier if they would simply allow you to select what you didn't want (commercials). Instead, you can only select what you want and then you drag to the clip/project bar. That is ok for somethings but is more time consuming than being able to exlcude what you don't want. Also, and this is very annoying, when you do select a clip to keep and then move to the clip / project section it changes the focus to that clip down below instead of keeping the 'focus' on the orignial clip. Hard to explain here, but it is backwards of you would expect and want. Will cause you to swear when you realize you just screwed up a lot of work and time becaue the focus change.
Bottom line, it works but could be better. I'm not sure I would pay over $30 for this product. There must be something better than this. :-(

Comment: I have used Ulead Viedo products and I have to say that this is the best yet. It is easy to use and makes video editing fun.
It has may features that other programs have that cost many hundreds of dollars more.

Summary: NOT FOR HIGDEFINITION / BLURAY EDITING......VERY POOR QUALITY
Comment: Bluray conversion quality is poor & blury and looks nothing like raw HDV footage. At first i thought it was my high definition canon camcorder but after using cyberlinks Power Producer software and LG blueray burner I noticed a hugh diffrence in picture quality and time taken to convert files. Ulead takes approx 6 hrs to convert 1 hr of HDV files to bluray wheras cyberlink's power producer takes approx 15 minutes and the video is crisp and clear.

Summary: Just started using, works well
Comment: Bought Ulead VideoStudio 11 plus and have installed it. So far, it works extremely well and is easy to use after you spend time learning the in's and out's. Have had previous experience with Pinnacle older versions, so the basic concepts are easy to pick up. VideosStudio has been steady as a rock and responsive. Am downloading from mini DV camcorder and plan to edit old films previously transfered to DVD and create finished family history digital records. Was allowed to upgrade to version 11.5 plus at no additional cost.

Comment: You can do just about anything you want to do to video with this product. I love it. Great for downloding video from any camcorder to your computer and then doing video editing. Simply Great.
