Summary: Great toy!
Comment: I have pictures on a different computer, but believe me, the after-snorkeling experience of watching these fish on the screen is well worth the price! We were chasing fish with it as well as shooting pictures of ourselves. Quality is great, as you may expect of the Fuji F30. The housing works great as long as you follow instructions and put the camera in inside in a super-clean environment.

Summary: well worth the money
Comment: compared to most housings that let you go 10 ft deep this has a nice balance for both snorkling and/or scuba diving since you can go 100 ft down. Nice solid housing but weighs enough even in the ocean that it will sink immediately if you let go of it. Lube inside casing lighty as instructed as to much will get lube all over inside.
Also before you go down dunk housing in water to look for leaks.
Also if you are in and out of water or wait till afternoon to get in water make sure housing is not in sunlight. If Housing gets warm then you go in the ocean you will get fogging from condesation on the inside of the clear part of the housing that will affect pic quality.
The bottons on the housing worked great with F30 but please take time to get comfortable with functions prior to getting in the water

Summary: Good Point and Shoot Underwater Pics!
Comment: Easy to use and gives clear, colorful underwater pictures with a minimum of fuss. All camera functions are accessable in the underwater housing. Minimal lag time to photograph when exposure button has been depressed halfway and autofocused. Lag time is significant when not autofocused and when flash is recycling. Good results in wide angle and macro.
I also used the underwater housing out of the water, on the beach and while sailing. I do not notice any difference in photo quality with or without the housing.
I have been a certified diver for 10 yrs. The Fuji Finepix F30 with underwater housing is my first underwater camera. I purchased it 2 weeks before going to Barbados and achieved excellent results with very little experience. See photos.

Summary: EASY TO USE , COMPACT , SIMPLE
Comment: THIS CASE IS COMPACT , NEATLY MADE AND IT IS NOT BULKY LIKE SOME OTHER CASES. THE F31 FD TAKES REALLY WONDERFUL PICTURES AS WELL, IT IS A GOOD CASE AND CAMERA.

Summary: Perfect Case for Scuba or Snorkeling - Also fits F31fd but not F20
Comment: I bought the case last year for my F30 and took it to Cozumel for a week. Case worked perfectly on several dives, some with max depth of about 100 feet. Very high quality and easy to use with all controls available. The only problem was light condensation that sometimes appeared on the camera lens when first submerged (due to rapid decrease in temperature of humid air inside of the case). After several minutes the lens would clear as the temperature of the camera and air inside the case equalize. Fuji supplies silicon packets to insert into the case with the camera. If the camera is put into the case with hot humid air it takes a while for the silicon to dry out the air inside and you still get lens condensation when first entering the water. To avoid this you can put the encased camera (with silicon packet) into cool water for 20-30 minutes prior to diving (or snorkeling).
Another way to avoid lens condensation is to use a special clear defog. Canon provides this with their underwater cases. You carefully rub this onto the camera lens! The defog works without delay and easily wipes off later.
