Summary: Nero 8 Ultra Edition
Comment: This software has been a favorite of mine for a couple of years. It does what I need it to when it comes to burning different projects. My only complaint would be the Nero Home fails to start sometimes, and I really think that this part of the program is getting off tract as far as burning software goes. The movie viewer (Nero Showtime) however is great. It will play just about any format. I received a good price for the software through Amazon.

Comment: We own this software and have found it incredibly difficult to use. The interfaces are not intuitive, and the modules do not link together.
Furthermore, the software does not recognize common video formats that have been copied to your hard drive.
Do not buy this software unless you enjoy frustration and wasting your time.

Comment: My opinion of this product is, it is good CD burning software but has terrible product support. It used to be good for creating DVD video but one of their software updates seems to have destroyed that ability. Now, instead of releasing another update to fix what they broke, it seems they expect people to just buy the newest version, and pay another $70 or so to get back what was already paid for. It also seems that, instead of fixing the problem, they just removed the bit about being able to author a DVD from all of the promotional material. I am giving this product the lowest possible rating just because, in my opinion, it doesn't do what it was advertised to do. If you are looking for video editing software, I recommend Pinnacle Studio instead of this product.

Comment: I was very unhappy to find out that the photo part of this program was dropped and not useable on the disc. Nero 7 will not work on "Vista but Nero 8 is not as complete as Nero 7

Comment: I have used Nero before back on version 5.5 Since then I've used Roxio 6, 7, and 7.5 And when I went to upgrade this time I decided to try Nero again. It works like a charm! Everything I've tried to do it does just fine. I especially like the Nero Home feature. Personally, I have had no issues yet whatsoever but I will continue to use the software and keep this review updated if any problems arise. I'm running this on Windows Vista Premium 32 bit.
