Comment: 1 of the batteries was great but the second one was not the one they advertised and it worked for one picture and then it ran out of energy and i kept trying to recharge it but it didn't work.

Summary: Nikon En-El 5 Battery
Comment: In the past, I have bought several after-market batteries for my Nikon 5200. These batteries do not give as many shots as the genuine Nikon. When I found this product on Amazon, I was surprised to discover the price was about half of what you would pay if you purchased the product direct from Nikon. There is an amazing quality difference between after-market and the "real thing." I got over 80 shots before the battery was exausted. What a difference in quality. I'm impressed at the product, as well as Amazon's price. Thank you.

Comment: I've tried several after market replacement batteries. None ever work as well as an OEM battery. With the Nikon using a special battery, it is very important to have a spare. Especially, now that I am taking pics of my grand daughter.

Comment: Trying to use the Coolpix (or probably any digital camera) for any length of time without a backup battery is asking for trouble. This one is just fine and works as advertised. It would be nice if Nikon would just include two batteries with the camera in the first place, but I guess that's life. At least this one wasn't too expensive.
