Comment: I have no idea what the story is with this product (maybe I had a bad one) but mine was returned. Now I use a Mac and even if when products say they are Mac compatible it's just sometimes a skeleton of a program that you get and this is one of them. But if that wasn't enough then the thing didn't turn on and off by it's timer ability. Also, the metal support in the back that makes it stand up (in it's portrait mode) is set so level that if a single piece of paper is under it - it will tip over... So, this product (for me) was a total bust - I have no idea how it can get such high ratings from everyone (and the price on the thing). BUT when you get something that's broken - it's broken.... But still "the price" and that serious design flaw with the stand (I mean your going to seriously have to cut the metal off a little to stand it up right in portrait mode, and if I'm not mistaken they got the plug cord coming out that end that gets in the way too - I mean big time). Plus WATCH OUT MAC USERS it might not be the best one to buy - but then what ever Mac compatible third party item ever is, right? (But I don't need it - wink wink) lol....

Summary: Bought for my Parents
Comment: I bought this digital picture frame for my parents who are not technically savvy. They have a difficult time with the controls as I did setting it up for them. The unit has some nice features that are menu driven but the problem is that you cannot set up a slideshow to see each time it is turned on. You have to setup whatever you want to see each time you turn it on. I would have hoped they could use the auto ON-OFF feature to resume where they were before. Other than that, the unit displays pictures nicely and has the automatic feature of picture orientation whether you have the frame setup landscape or poratrait on a table. The SD card appears to only able to be programmed if loaded from a computer. In other words, if you just load pictures from a camera or computer, but do not set them up with the special software, you are not able to program them into a useful slideshow.

Summary: Worth it
Comment: This is my second Philips digital frame purchase. The first was a smaller frame w/ changeable plastic frame borders. I find the control buttons on this metal frame a little more user friendly. The software for each frame are not compatible; the current program was an updated version. So, I had to delete the software for the smaller frame & upload the new one. The new one has some nice added features for editing the photos. This was a gift for my parents across the country after I had uploaded all the photos. I don't consider them as the most digital-tech savvy. I thought I would have to walk them through step-by-step to get it started over the phone. But, I was pleasantly surprised to hear that it was set up & showing the slideshow when I talked to them.

Summary: Looks pretty good
Comment: Picture frame and pictures really look good. Loading pictures on to the frame is easy (it holds 1000 pictures and you can put them into different albums). What I miss is a remote to change albums and start the slideshows. Battery does not last too long, 1/2 hr max.

Summary: Philips 10.2-inch Digital Photo Frame
Comment: Very clear images. Can be difficult to transfer saved pictures from your computer to phrame depending on what picture program you have. Kodak(what I have)for example does not want to let me perform the transfer. If you have the SD cards works excellent.
