Summary: Photoshop Elements 3 for Dummies like me
Comment: I never know how much of a "Dummy" I am until I try to fiddle with a computer program. The Dummies series have always come to my rescue. I enjoy the lively banter-style format which makes me feel like I am getting personalized assistance. With no arguments! Even if I never figure out my software, at least I will have enjoyed the experience! The book covers the subject, but with no consideration to related programs (ie., XP, wherein I believe my problems lie...) XP for Dummies, coming right up!

Summary: Very nice book on Elements 3.0
Comment: Excellent Book! Full of useful information that is made simple by step by step insructions. Great information for someone who understands the basic tools of Photoshop Elements, but wants to create more prfessional looking photos. Wonderful examples that inspire new ideas and twists on classic pictures! Highly Recommended!

Summary: Disappointing for a Dummies' Book
Comment: I usually find the Dummies' books very helpful and useful. But this one didn't measure up. The attempts at levity and humor became intrusive and trite. It would have been very helpful if, as they introduced a particular feature or tool, the authors would have begun by telling the reader what you'd likely want to use that tool or feature for. Disappointing. I'll find something better.

Summary: Best yet
Comment: I've had all three versions of Photoshop Elements, and I always get this book to go with the new version. As usual the authors have done an excellent job of updating the book covering all the new features. If you want an inexpensive friendly book about Photoshop Elements 3, this it it.

Summary: Save your money
Comment: The book is a total disappointment and shouldn't even be sold by Amazon. It is vague, rambles, doesn't have good examples or instructions. I'm judging it by comparing it with "Photoshop for Dummies" by a different author which is nicely done. I've never seen a worse book in the ...for Dummies series. I wish I could get my money back.
