Summary: TAKE THE PERFECT PHOTOS
Comment: This little Samsung Camera snaps the most precise and perfect hpotos, shows all detail, from vivid colors to the dust on a shelf. Lots of my friends are very jealous that I have this product that takes better pictures than their Digital SLR Cameras.

Summary: Overall like this camera
Comment: We bought this as a second camera. We also have the S500 and really like it. The price is excellent. It's easy to use. Only problems I have with it are that it takes a long time to save pictures with flash. So, you'll miss the next great shot. And, video is recorded as MPEG4. When I try to upload to my computer, it doesn't read it because it uses .avi. Granted, I have not used the CD-Rom that came with the camera. But, with the S500 I could just put the card in the card reader and upload my videos. I will say I do enjoy taking short clips with the camera so I don't have to lug out the big recorder.

Comment: I have used many digital cameras before but never owned any. This is my first digicam.
1. I liked the camera coz it is light and easy to carry around
2. The picture quality is amazing and i will believe it is 8.1 MP
3. The real disadvantage is that it drains battery so much that it won't last for even 30 min in total when u start taking movies. (I believe i put on new pair of batteries coz they came along with the camera)
It is time for samsung to put a rechargeable battery in the camera itself. Changing Ni-Cd batteries and charging them in turns is a real pain.

Summary: Samsung Digimax S800
Comment: I have been a firm believer in the Digimax line since they were first introduced. I have owned both the Digimax 201 and Digimax S600 and I loved both of those cameras, however, the S800 more than exceeded my expectations. I use this camera for photographing handmade items that I sell on Ebay and it captures details exquisitely. I also use the S800 to photograph family events that come up and it has worked well in many situations, even those that were held inside or had particularly dark settings. I'd recommend the S800 to anyone who is looking for an easy to use, effective camera.
I haven't found any problems with this camera.

Comment: This is a fabulous camera! The item description does not do it justice by a long shot. This is my first digital camera and before purchsing it I went to the WalMart web site to check out their digitals. The had a 7.1 MP for $50 more so I came back to Amazon and placed the order.
The camera has a nice large screen on the back for previewing, 20 MB of internal memory. This is large compared to others for a similar price.
The pictures are superb quality. My grandson connected it to the TV for a slide show preview with special effects like an expensive video. I am very, very pleased with this camera!
