Comment: Very disappointed....very cheap. One filter had a hairline crack in it when I received it in the mail. The polarizing lens doesn't cut down glare as much as I would think. And the UV filter worked nicely until I had to crank on it to remove it from my camera, now it is loose and won't work. I should send them back, but not worth the restocking fee and headache. One last funny thing....on the actual lens, it reads, 'multi-caoted lens' on all three.

Comment: These are excellent filters provided at an excellent price. I purchased these filters as a color match to my silver Canon HV20 camcorder and they work really well. I especially like the Polarizing filter which has a built-in internal ring that allows the user to rotate the filter to obtain the optimum angle to reduce glare and enhance sky hues. Highly recommended!

Comment: Neeeded primarily a UV or Skylite 1A filter for my new Canon HV20 camcorder, so I bought this set mostly due to the low cost.
The filters are well made, and without any distortion. Perfect mix for lens protection (UV), flourescent light conversion, and the real bonus is the adjustable (rotating) Polarizing filter, which allows for shooting through water and window reflections.
Super price for a well made product! (Comes with case for your cam bag)

Filters are translucent glass placed in front of a camera lens to alter or adjust the light entering the camera and to protect the camera lens. Lens filters improve pictures by giving photographers control over light and allowing them to emphasize the features of a scene that they consider most important. This particular filter set is a combination of the three essential filters no photographer should be without. ♦ UV FILTER: A UV (ultraviolet) filter blocks the invisible UV component of light from the sky, which can cause blur and to which many color films react with a blue cast. Pictures gain brilliance and such blue casts are avoided. Because the glass is colorless, color rendition is not altered, and no increase in exposure is required. The colorless glass also makes a UV Filter very suitable as protection for the front element of your lens against dust, flying sand, sea water spray and the like, and it can be kept on the lens at all times. ♦ PL FILTER: A PL (polarizing) filter allows you to remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water and glass, and they also improve color saturation, clarity and contrast.
