Summary: Best Aperture book so far
Comment: Orlando Luna's Aperture 1.5 book is terrific. It's well organized and the practical info is exactly what you need to know to get unstuck in Aperture, which is not particularly intuitive software to a new user. I've looked at every Aperture book published so far, and this is one of a select few that are worth your time.
Customer Rating:

Summary: Excellent way to learn Aperture
Comment: Macs and their software are incredibly user-friendly, but even the easiest application needs a set of well-planned lessons that show how to best use its features. Aperture is more complex than most, and benefits from this training series, which really does show you step-by-step procedures that will help you quickly get up to speed.

Summary: Easily understandable and complete!
Comment: For those who are serious about organizing their didgital photos, this book is a "must have" to accopmpany their purchase of Aperture 1.5 software.
The software covers all of the frustrations that we have felt in trying to organize our images in a safe and usefull manner.
I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to keep up with some of the instructions, but everything is so very clear; it was refreshingly understandable!

Summary: It's OK
Comment: I can't say whether or not this book will adequately prepare you for the Aperture certification exam as I'm having a great deal of trouble finding anyone who actually offers it in my area, but I can say that if you own Aperture you own a copy of the Aperture user's manual, and you're not going to find a lot of information in this book that isn't already in there. I was honestly going to return it, but then I carelessly set a glass of water down on top of it while I was on the phone and crinkled up the cover.

Summary: Excellent tutorials and very easy to get through
Comment: I have had mixed luck with tutorial books and self paced learning, but this is an excellent example of how to do it correctly. Not too much and not too little. I immediately was able to get 10 X as much out of my Aperture investment after just the first few chapters. I've dramatically improved my ability to deal with the hundreds of pictures I take every shoot. It really should be the manual for the program. Don't think twice. This is the book to get if you want to get more out of Aperture.
