Comment: I bought this camera case in soft black leather for the Fuji Finepix Z1. Protects the camera without the bulky armor feel. Inside this camera case the Fuji Finepix Z1 still looked slim and ultra-compact.

Comment: I have the white one (black was unavailable at the time of purchase)

1. The camera will not slide out even though the clasp is magnet. It is made snug enough that the felt holds it in the case even with a shake or jostle.

2. Durable. No scrapes or scratches in 7 months.

3. Haven't missed the belt clip option, its small enough to fit in my pocket

4. Well constructed/durable. People think its some sort of iPod case/holder.

Comment: Okay, let's get a few things out of the way:

1. This case has no belt loop. None. Zip. Nada. So it's good for protecting your camera while being carried around in a pocket or a purse, but you won't be hanging this thing off of your belt like Batman.

2. The picture doesn't show it, but there's a hole on the top center of the "lid" of the case to let the wrist strap pass through.

3. The case has white stitching. Very classy, IMHO.

4. The round "bump" on the flap that secures the top lid of the case is not a snap closure, it's a magnet. The intention here is good in that it makes the lid easy to open without having to tug excessively on the case, but it's a double-edged sword because the case can also be opened if it's carried in a purse or bag with any other object that can rub up against the front of the case and push the magnetic flap up. So make sure this case sits solo, I guess.

5. Although the case is made of genuine leather, it sure doesn't smell like it; it smells like it was buried in ground black pepper for about a month. Pretty disappointing.

All in all, the Fujifilm SC-FXZ1B Leather Camera Case is an elegant well-crafted item that ties in with the Z1's target user: The fashion-minded occasional snapshooter that carries a ultra-compact camera more for a statement than as a necessity.
