Summary: Works As It Should
Comment: I purchased this a few weeks ago when I noticed my camera's USB cable was missing. Since my (older) computer does not have any card slots, I bought this. I believe it is a 19-in-one card reader so one can read many, many different types of cards. It has worked as it should and so far I've not really had any problems.

I did try to insert my digital camcorder's memory card into this, but for some reason I could not get those images/videos to load into my computer. I still have to do some reading, as I may be missing a step. What I probably have to do is read the software information that came with the video cam. But other than that, it reads and uploads all my regular digital camera's memory cards, no problem.

Summary: Simple, practical, reliable
Comment: Works simply and without trouble. I find that the device doesn't teach the operating system (Vista for me) the name/ style (SD/CD/MM, etc) of each slot, like an earlier Kensington one did. Still, the range of available connections works, and once there's a card in one, the directory shows you the drive in place.

Summary: Cannot Read 8GB CF Cards!! Only Reads 4GB and Below.
Comment: This was a total surprise, but I confirmed it versus another card reader. I have a perfectly good 8 GB CF card that works well in my Canon D5 camera and a very cheap $3.75 CF USB card reader. Now that technology has moved forward to higher capacity flash memory cards, this one is stuck with a 4 GB limit -- essentially garbage and way overpriced at that.

Summary: Does More Than Expected
Comment: My new computer came without a media card reader so I decided to order this one. It was shipped ahead of schedule and arrived in perfect condition. One of the problems I'd had with my old computer with an integrated media reader was getting down on the floor to insert some of the tiny media into their respective drive slots.

I have this external reader sitting on top of my computer and with the cable extension can lift it up and install the media in the slots while sitting in my chair. This is much easier, needless to say. I was also pleased to see that it included a really small slot for the memory card used by my cell phone. I've been able to conviently add photos to my cell phone from my computer without having to use an adapter.

The computer recognized the media reader immediately and assigned drive letters to all of the slots. To this point it has worked perfectly.

Summary: works great
Comment: No problems thus far, although I have not been able to try out every type of card media there is on it. I DO know it is far better than the one from K-Mart that simply got as hot as a toaster oven when I plugged it in, then refused to recognize any media...
