Kodak EasyShare M1020 10-Inch Digital Frame Reviews
Customer Rating:

Summary: Great picture but...
Comment: For the month it actually worked, I liked it even though it has some "minor" flaws. The interface is a bit quirky, and as others suggested, the random functions (both picture order and transitions) were anything but dependable.
Its best attribute was the display. Unfortunately, that asset stopped working and it's now indefinitely stuck in torch mode (each pixel is at max brightness).
Oh well, it was nice for its short life span and I would have rated it higher if I spent $10.00 for it. But since this unit is $200.00, I'll give it the single brightly lit star that it is.

Summary: Great Gift
Comment: I bought this frame for my dad's birthday and he loves it! He uses it to display pictures from his cruise, which is very convenient because so many people have asked to see pictures. It was also about $40 cheaper on Amazon than it was a the store.

Summary: Terrible
Comment: Not easy to work at all. Neither uploading pictures or using the touch screen. Instructions are awful. Not helpful at all. Trying to download new software is difficult. Definitely not for a novice. Will be returning this.

Summary: It's great for the price and beats bestbuy
Comment: Great product. Takes time to learn to use. Has one weakness, after you set pics and sound in motion, it's hard to stop less shutting it off. But hey,....who cares. Let it run.

Summary: BEST Digital Picture Frame. And I own 4 Different Ones
Comment: I really like having my pictures displayed on a digital picture frame. It is a convenient, space saving way to review thousands of pictures. Great entertainment in a small space. I brought one in to my elderly aunt to watch in her nursing home. She really enjoys watching the family photos, with hundreds of pictures cycling throughout the day. Sure beats TV! This is a great application for these picture frames.
But anyways, I now own 4 different model/different manufacturer Digital picture frames. This Kodak 10" model is my most recent purchase and the best picture frame that I own to date.
What is wrong with the other picture frames? Some picture frames, the real cheap ones, seem to suffer from low CPU power. It can cause a long 'blank screen delay between flipping to the next picture. This Kodak is quick, it will flip to the next picture as fast as you want.
The picture is large, brilliant, colorful and relatively high res. The specs say 800 x 480 but it really looks much higher than that. It scales pictures to fit the frame nicely. And the viewing angle is terrific, pictures are brilliant and visible even when viewing the frame from way off to the side.
The touch screen is great since it is on the front is very accessible unlike other frames that hide controls in the back. And I like that the touch controls are subtle, not noticeable, which would detract from the overall look of the picture frame.
One reviewer didn't like the frame's built in menus, but they are not difficult by any stretch. And really, how often do you use them? For me, not often. I set it the way I want with the desired transition & display mode. Then it's just set it and forget it. I use Compact Flash for the pictures. Holds a ton of pictures on one inexpensive chip. I keep a few CF chips around loaded up with different pictures.
Get this Kodak picture frame. You won't regret it!
