Summary: Specification doesn't mention adapter need compatible camera
Comment: I felt bad with this purchase. When the product arrived, I noticed that it needed an adapter to fit in my camera Kodak Z-7590, what is not mentioned in the specifications.
The site page just says that the lens is compatible with my camera.
To worsen the adapter needed is not more avaliable for purchase.

Summary: BE SURE YOU HAVE ALL THE PARTS
Comment: I received this lens and looked forward to using with my Kodak Dx-7590 digital camera. However, upon receipt I discovered that a lens adapter is needed to transition from my camera's 49mm connection to the 55mm connection on the wide angle lens.
After weeks of searching for an adapter at the Kodak store, Amazon, e-Bay, etc. I have given up and must return the lens.
CAUTION-BE SURE YOU ARE AWARE OF THE NEED FOR AN ADAPTER .

Summary: Great item !!
Comment: This lens looks great on my Kodak P712 camera and produces really SHARP images when set properly.I'll never understand why Kodak dropped the P series cameras. I've been a professional film photographer for over 50 years and changed over to digital about three years ago and can't say enough good words about the P712. I think Kodak made a big mistake.

Summary: Prime quality - great for Panasonic FZ50
Comment: Great lens - superior quality. Using it on my FZ50 and works great. Contrary to previous reviews, no adapter needed - screws directly in the lens (55mm). You certainly need to unscrew the filter if you have placed one on your existing lens. Leave your lens on the widest setting!
Your build in flash will not work if you change the camera settings to wide lens. This means that you also have no slave flash working. Only option is an external flash on the shoe. Be careful, I tried a lot of brands and actually nothing works properly except the olympia flash 36 and 50. They are compatible to Panasonic TTL cameras and much cheaper. I tried to use the lens without changing the settings on the camera and the flash certainly works just fine - including the slave. The picture quality is great even without changing the settings to wide angle lens.
Results with this lens are incredible. A much wider range in highest quality - okay it is a Zeiss even if it is made in Japan - super quality.
It comes with good lens covers and a black nice looking pouch.
Great buy and a very good price for this high quality lens. Impossible to do without. Finally everyone on the table is on my pictures....

Summary: Lens may be in the way of your flash.
Comment: I bought this to use to take some interior room pictures for a website. What I discovered is that I couldn't use the flash with this lens installed on my Kodak Z650 because the lens covered the lower part of the flash. After changing the camera settings, I took the pics without flash anyway but lighting is critical. Just be aware you may need additional lighting for inside shots.
