Sandisk MicroMate Reader-for Memory Stick Reviews
Customer Rating:

Summary: Amazing
Comment: Simply amazing for a couple of reasons:
1) it doesn't need that annoying adapter piece. the card just goes right in.
2) it's way more compact than it looks. smaller than my motorola reader
3) way more sturdy than any reader i've used before
4) the protector cap fits on both ends
5) and it's as flat as it can get which is great for those side by side usb ports

Summary: Essential if you plan on living in a "Sony World"!
Comment: You're probably looking at this review because you own more than 1 Sony electronics product that uses Memory Stick Pro Duos and you're looking for a portable and easier setup than the one you're currently using. :)
As for myself, I own a PS3, a PSP, a walkman phone, and a Sony DSC-T200 digital camera. ALL of them use a PRO DUO (2GB - 8GB) and I needed something that would let me access these multiple memory cards without having to go through the whole rigamarole of attaching a cable, turning the Sony device on, setting the device to USB mode, etc. It's just such a hassle!
I wanted something portable, since I need to access the contents of multiple cards in multiple places. :)
I saw a few other choices here on Amazon, but I ultimately chose the Sandisk Micromate Reader. It doesn't look flimsy, but it has that classic look, and it works great as intended. Read times are fast, so pulling and putting files onto the card is quick and easy.
The memory card slips about halfway into the MicroMate, so taking it out after you're done loading or copying files is a snap.
The only con that I can see is the width of the thing. If you were to put it in a USB Hub, it would most likely take the ports that are directly next to the one currently inserted, but PRO DUOs are wider than regular USB plugs, so it really can't be helped.
I like to research before I make a purchase, so you can believe it when I say that this card reader comes highly recommended. Especially if you live the Sony lifestyle!

Summary: fast SD-USB reader
Comment: It works and is faster than what I expected compared to Kingston's USB drives... but I have not done benchmarks. The build and materials doesn't feel cheap, it is more sturdy than SanDisk cruzer's flimzy glider.
It looks small, but may not work on all USB ports... it works in those that have a universal design; for more than cables (the 2 ports that I tested worked, but in one it was slightly tilted).

Summary: What I'd been waiting for!!
Comment: I've always wondered why they didn't come out with this sooner, since this is probably a good alternative to thumb-drives because of its wider range of potential usage. I wish I got the one compatible with the original memory stick though. That way I could have used both that AND pro duo (+ the adapter), but I'm happy with my purchase now that I can transfer photos and files to and from any computer with a USB port.

Summary: Excellent Adapter, should come standard
Comment: Cheapest price I could find on the internet was at Amazon. These should come standard with everycard. USB 2.0 connectivity is huge for quick data transfers.
