Comment: There is no point in not getting this with a camera as nice as the A700. We've all had scratches on screens before and they can be hard to avoid if you shoot a lot and in tough places. Plastic stick on covers tend to bubble and hurt visibility. Not so with this. It has no effect on visibility at all. Awesome to have. Get one today!

Comment: I was a bit skeptical about the utility if this protector for three reasons:

1. I've been using transparent adhesive film protectors on my cameras for years, and didn't think this would be any better.

2. I doubted that the cover would stay in place with repeated transfers into and out of my backpack style camera bag.

3. I feared that the cover would be easily scratched.

In all three categories, the Sony Alpha LCD protector excels. I can now view the wonderful A700 screen clearly -- the major issue I had with the adhesive film protector that prompted my move to this cover. It clicks in place easily, and stays in place until I remove it on purpose. And so far I have not scratched the cover, in spite of several long trips and a few thousand images taken. So I have no qualms about recommending Sony's LCD cover for the A700.

Comment: Every A700 should ship with this LCD protector. It snaps on very easily, and no doubt will protect that priceless LCD for years to come. Does not interfere with your ability to view the pictures on the LCD.

Comment: Has no apparent detriment to visibility while reducing glare and keeping the irreplaceable screen, dust and scratch free. They shouldn't sell the camera without one!

Comment: The cover in just a few weeks has numerous scratches. Those scratches would have neen on the screen if I had not attached a screen cover
